Q What sizes of nasal pillows are included?
A The "for Her" mask comes with extra-small, small, and medium nasal pillows, and the standard mask comes with small, medium, and large nasal pillows.
Q What needs to be included on my prescription?
A If an "Rx Required" CPAP mask is the only item in your order, your prescription would only need to state for "CPAP Supplies" or "CPAP equipment". If you are purchasing other "Rx Required" products, there may be other prescription requirements that will be listed in FAQ tab of the product page.
Q Can I use the Swift FX Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask that is not "for Her" if I am a female?
A Males can wear "for Her" masks and females can wear the standard masks, the "for Her" just indicates the smaller sizing, more feminine fit, and pink color. For this particular product, the only difference between the Swift FX and the Swift FX for Her is in the headgear, and that the Swift FX for Her includes the extra-small, small, and medium cushions, whereas the Swift FX includes the small, medium, and large cushions. To purchase the standard Swift FX Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask, click HERE.
Q Is headgear required for this item?
A Yes, headgear is required for this item. However, if your mask frame and cushion have worn out but your headgear is still functioning properly, you can purchase the assembly kit HERE.
Q What is the difference between the standard and "for Her" masks for the Swift FX mask?
A Unlike some other masks, the Swift FX and the Swift FX for Her only differ in the headgear color and sizing, and the fact that the "for Her" includes an extra-small nasal pillow and standard includes a "large", in addition to the small and medium nasal pillows.
Q What is the difference between the Swift FX Bella and Swift FX?
A The only difference between the Swift FX Bella and the Swift FX is the Bella loops. The Swift FX and Swift FX Bella Gray have the same part numbers besides the Bella loops, and same for the Swift FX for Her and Swift FX Bella.
Q Do the Swift FX Nano Masks have anything in common with the Swift FX Masks?
A The Swift FX Nano and the Swift FX share no parts besides the name. In fact, they are even different kinds of masks, with the Swift FX Nano being a nasal mask and Swift FX a nasal pillow mask.
Mask Fitting
Nasal pillows rest directly inside your nose all night long. This means that dirty nasal pillows can cause a nasty infection. In order to avoid hygienic issues and improper mask usage, you should replace your Swift FX Nasal Pillows, which can be purchased HERE, every two weeks.
CPAP mask tubing is susceptible to developing small holes or tears which may not even be visible to the naked eye. These can cause air leaks, and if your tube is leaking, you may not be receiving your prescribed therapy setting from your CPAP. This may cause you to feel as if your sleep therapy is not working as intended, even though it is. Therefore, you should replace your tubing (Check out some tubing offered by ApriaDirect HERE) once every three months.
Your frame system is in close proximity to your face, and therefore needs to be replaced relatively frequently. However, it is not directly touching your face, which is why it doesn't need to be replaced quite so often. We do not sell the Swift FX Frame, but instead sell the Swift FX Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask Assembly Kit, which includes absolutely everything you need besides the headgear, and can be purchased HERE. The Swift FX Nasal Pillow Assembly Kit should be replaced once every three months.
Over time, your CPAP headgear and chin straps may become stretched and lose their elasticity, leading to over-tightening and discomfort. They can also trap bacteria from sweat and moisture. Therefore, your Swift FX or Swift FX for Her Headgear should be replaced every six months. To purchase, please click HERE for the standard and HERE for the "for Her".
