For newly-diagnosed sleep apnea patients, it can take some time getting used to using the CPAP machine and equipment. Experts recommend that you try wearing CPAP mask only for a short period of time while you’re awake, then try wearing the mask and the hose while awake. Lastly, try wearing the equipment while the machine is turned on, while you’re awake. This will allow new users to be more comfortable, easing them into their sleep therapy while they are asleep.
